Burwood Park’s palm trees get the custom colour treatment

When palms need a spotlight

Burwood Council wanted special lighting for the palm trees in Burwood Park. They needed bright floodlights that could change colours for different events and seasons. The plan was to make the park look better at night for visitors. The team needed lighting that could withstand the outdoor conditions year-round. And they also required strong brackets to fit around the palm tree trunks.

A perfect palm projector plan

We worked with the team at Limelight Australia to develop a product plan to suit. We made sure we considered all the external factors required. For colour and brightness, water resistance, and longevity the Opto projector was ideal. They connected to our signal repeaters, making sure the colour-changing worked smoothly. And the brackets held the luminaires to the palms, making is safe to walk around.

Palms that steal the show

Burwood Park is now lit with fixtures creating colourful landscape lighting. Superlight projectors are positioned to illuminate the palm leaves from mid-trunk.
