High-quality lighting, fit for boutique apartment living

A luxury apartment block with high-end styling needed highly customised lighting

Serendipity is a 29-apartment building in North Sydney with a high-end finish throughout. When a project is positioned at the luxury end of the market, the specification has to match. Better Electricians, the electrical contractor, had a detailed luminaire brief to work through. The apartments, common areas, facade and grounds each had their own requirements. These features were around product type, finish, colour temperature and beam angle. They needed a Sydney-based lighting manufacturer who could customise products.

Like all our projects, we supplied data sheets and product information to the electrical contractors. They could confirm the compatibility of each product upfront. And also review shop drawings of highly customised products.

Several luminaires needed adjustments such as colour temperature, finishes and wattage. Striplighting and profiles at Superlight are always cut to length for each project. Getting each of those details right was central to delivering the outcome the designers had in mind. Suspended linear pendants were manufactured to different lengths to match the kitchen islands. Some fittings needed a specific beam angle. And others required custom refinishing in a specific colour. Each product required attention to detail as many of the specifications altered between fixtures.

High-end, quality fixtures that suit this luxury-living feel

Inside the apartments, the downlights and linear pendants provide clean, even light. The striplighting nestled in bathrooms and kitchens stands up to moisture. And on exterior balconies, wall-mounted up-and-down fixtures illuminate outdoor living. Most importantly, the product designs and finishes enhance the high-end luxury styling. And the energy-efficient LEDs across the whole building keep running costs low. This boutique block exudes quality and now has lighting that further enhances those living within.
