Tubular Sculpture - VIVID Sydney

Commissioned for Vivid Sydney, “Vivid Tubular” is a large‑scale, translucent plastic sculpture brought to life by Superlight VRX LED strips. Custom‑segmented light engines were curved to follow the organic geometry of each tube, delivering uninterrupted lines of light with outstanding colour fidelity (CRI > 90) across the specified 3000 K–6500 K range. A compact dimming interface gives artists granular control over brightness and transition timing, ensuring the piece responds dynamically to ambient conditions along the harbour foreshore. Conformal‑coated PCBs and IP67 housings safeguard electronics from wind‑driven rain and salt spray for the festival’s 23‑night duration.
